Batman Armor in Batman v Superman is CGI
As written in the Total Film December issue, Batman’s armor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be rendered using CGI. This is hardly shocking, as we’ve all seen some pretty realistic metal suits of armor in all the Iron Man films. It’s a little surprising, though, if only because the shots we’ve seen in the two trailers released so far look really convincing.
The armor we see Ben Affleck wearing is obviously based closely on the suit that Bruce Wayne dons in Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns to go up against Superman. And though recent reports indicate that the entire story of Dawn of Justice may not be based on The Dark Knight Returns, we’ve got to believe that the logistics of this battle have to be pretty close to the scenario created by Miller. If you haven’t read this graphic novel, it’s highly recommended, especially if it’s hard to imagine a scenario in which Batman could put up any kind of fight against Superman. Sure, Clark is clearly the more powerful being, but Bruce Wayne can be extremely resourceful if he’s had time to prepare.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is expected in theatres March 25, 2016.
